I’m Yume aka Yume Ninja!

I’m a  30 year old geeky-goth, Star Trek lover, cat mom, and  jack-of-all-trades.

I’ve been credited as an artist, graphic designer, wardrobe stylist, event coordinator, and model. I co-founded the creative Los Angeles-based event production company Bubble Punch with my creative friend Michelle of IamChubbyBunny.COM.

I also currently work for independent makeup and fashion brands, Sugarpill Cosmetics and A is for Arsenic.

Born in the Mid-West to immigrant Hmong parents, I moved to California when I was seven. After moving up and down California, I settled in the Los Angeles area where I earned my degree in Animation. I currently live in West Los Angeles with my boyfriend and two cats, Peeker and Mycroft.

I’m completely obsessed with a few things: black, Star Trek, X-Men, shoes, and outer space.

Though you’ll often see me collecting kawaii (cute) things, I can’t hide my tendency to favor spikes, skulls, and black.

I’m also a huge history nerd, especially when it comes to English history. I love reading Sherlock Holmes and the complete works of Jane Austen.

NinjaSovereign.com is an inspirational lifestyle blog that focuses on creativity, geek culture, diy fashion, making life a fun adventure, and the life-long pursuit of self-love and self-acceptance.

My goal is to share all my mis-adventures and passion for creating fun projects ranging from the fashionable to the geeky. Whether it is shoes, makeup, conventions, or ren faire, it all has a place here.

My hope is to help everyone out there realize that by self-motivation and a little curiosity, we can all cultivate and broaden our interests as well as our skills.

I’ve been featured in a variety of magazines and newspapers, including Japanese tv! Much of my body of work is self-taught, and I never turn down a challenge!
