Fun Fashion Finds

April 6th, 2012 | No Comments

The weather here in Los Angeles is getting warmer by the day, and it’s time to put away the the “heavy” winter clothes and put on some fun flirty fashion.

I’ve partnered up with my sponsors at Sheinside to bring you guys an extra special deal for the month of April!
From now until April 30, 2012 you enter my code TRU20 to get 20% off your entire purchase!

Sheinside.com also offers free shipping WORLDWIDE, no minimum purchase, so double the fun!

I’ve been window shopping around my sponsors, Sheinside.com, and here’s a few fun things I like:

Telephone Chiffon Dress – $39.00

I love the fun mod-inspired cut of this dress.

Blue Bow Back Sleeveless Dress – $37.00

I’m a sucker for collars and navy ‘sailor fuku’ esque designs. This dress also comes in pink for those who are pink-inclined.

Rose Print Leisure Pencil Jeans – $37.00

Though one would think I’m not generally into these sorts of prints, I am. I have a bit of nostalgia for rose print jeans! Some of the first pairs of jeans I had were rose print jeans.

Blue Peplum Skirt – $39.00

Peplum Skirts are all the rage lately, and I confess I love them too. They hide my wide hips really well. I love this blue, and they’re also available in black and hot pink. Hmm Imats maybe?

and I confess these last two I absolutely adore.

Chiffon Galaxy Print Moto Jacket – $53.00

Galaxy print is definitely not on it’s way out. And for those who think it’s just a fad, no way! Space is a gorgeous inspiring place.
You’ve seen it on everything, yes, but I love the way it’s done on this faux motorcyle jacket. I might cave in.

and I love love love this last cocktail dress. It’s perfect.

Slim Bow Front Coctail Dress – $45.00

It has a sort of Audrey Hepburn feel to it, doesn’t it? I adore this dress!

**FYI: this is a sponsored post, however I don’t make any comission off sales! So don’t worry, you guys can shop with confidence! Remember to enter the code at the check out though, so you can get your 20% discount!

I meant to post this last week but I got a bit sick. I originally posted about them on my instagram and twitter, but here’s the full outfit shots!

Please hype the look on lookbook if you like it! The more you hype the more I can continue to bring you guys outfit and style posts <3

I received these amazing Zebra Platform Creepers from OASAP.COM at the end of March while I was in San Francisco.
Since then, I’ve bleached out my hair, so I decided to do an outfit post along with my new hair <3

This time, I’ve also included some of my more hilarious out take shots as well, so you guys on my blog can get a few more glimpses than people who are viewing it on LookBook or Chictopia.

The Makeup Show Blogger Night

March 31st, 2012 | 6 Comments

This year, Amy and I were invited to attend The Makeup Show LA‘s blogger preview night. We were really excited to go since it was my first year.

Unfortunately for us, it was a rainy weekend. Rainy days in LA usually mean that traffic is twice as bad as normal! Worry not though, we made it just in time.

These were the amazingly generous  bags we were given for attending. Aren’t they amazing? I was so excited, I had to keep myself from going through the bag right then and there.

The evening was filled with lots of amazing displays of makeup artistry. We got to meet lots of really awesome people, from make up artists, to indie makeup brand owners, to the many fashionable people of Los Angeles. Learning how to do hair and makeup can lead to a very successful career in cosmetology,

if you go to school for it.

We also ran into familiar faces like Lillie and Pursebuzz!

Meltdown Comics

7522 Sunset Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90046      www.meltdowncomics.com

That’s right. It’s time for another nerdy and girly supercharged Bubble Punch event.

We (Michelle and I) are revamping the Super*Market event at Meltdown Comics. We’re gathering all the most awesome fashionable and geek-girl friendly delights in all of Southern California to create a metropolis of kick-ass  one-stop-shopping.

All of our vendors will specialize in the bright, geeky, girly, and super unique. Jewelry designers, unique clothing designers, vintage wear, and of course 2nd hand Japanese street fashion items will be there.

Jessica Gao, original brainchild behind super*MARKET, started this event as a vending fair for comics and the arts at UCLA. She then relocated it to Meltdown Comics for a very successful run.

”I couldn’t be happier to see the triumphant return of super*MARKET.  It was an event that has always been dear to my heart and to have it in the capable hands of Bubble Punch is ultra-cute icing on the cake.” – Jessica Gao

But we’re not stopping just as keeping it fashionably fun and nerd friendly; we like to add the usual Bubble Punch flair. Along with hunting for awesome swag, guests can also party down with live entertainment, refreshments, and a chance to mix and mingle with other colorful and fun patrons.

Musical atmosphere will be provided by DJ team at Tune In Tokyo, along with a live podcast from the lady nerds at Defective Geeks, event snaps, and much more!

Complimentary drinks will also be provided for shoppers to help them party the day away! (21+ to party, so BRING ID)
And of course GIVEAWAYS! We are doing hourly giveaways with Sanrio, including some of the Sanrio items from the Japan. Endless Discovery fashion show!

Admission to this event is FREE!

So who are our amazing, sparkling, nerd girl loving vendors?
