She-Hulking at Sugarpill HQ

March 23rd, 2012 | 6 Comments

In a somewhat unplanned and random and unplanned string of events, I ended up hulking out a bit in Amy’s office yesterday evening. You can tell I’m in Amy’s office by the blinding pink walls.

I apologize for the phone quality photos. All I had was my iphone.

We got new OCC liptar in ‘Chlorophyll’ during the Makeup Show Los Angeles so I was trying to find an extreme way to do green lips.

It started out small, with just a bit of OCC’s Chlorophyll and a bit of Sugarpill’s Absinthe.

Perhaps it was because I spent the entire day working and watching riff tracks of ‘Captain America’ while discussing the new Avengers movie with Michelle.

(Yes, I am wearing my Captain America t-shirt again.)

Then it somehow snowballed into this:

This explosion of Midori and Junebug is brought to you by my comic book geekiness. I sometimes think about taking online college classes for writing, so that I can learn to create comic books myself.

I’m not a She-Hulk fan, but I do love myself some Avengers. She-Hulk was the second green Avenger member at one time, the first green member being her cousin, the Hulk.

Amy, who isn’t a big comic book reader, said I looked like Barney (the Dinosaur). Alas she’s incredibly mistaken because Barney is mostly purple.

If I had a staff, I could have gone the Donatello route, you know, from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Amy kept laughing the entire time, as did Michelle. There’s never a boring work-day at Sugarpill.

Brett asked me at one point if we were ‘going clubbing’ later. To which, I responded with a “…”

In case you guys are wondering, I did do my entire face. However, I messed up on one side so I just wiped it down.  Then I realized what a good (and hilarious) photo opportunity this was.

This is what happens when Amy works with nerds. Maybe one day, I’ll do this again in its green entirety.

Last week I received a package containing this awesome asymmetrical monochrome top from Sugarlips Apparel.

When I saw this top on their web shop, I instantly fell in love. What’s not to love about it? It’s simple but cool.

I really want to thank Sugarlips Apparel for sending this to me <3 I love it so much. You guys should all check out their webstore for more cool gear too. The best part? They’re local to Los Angeles!

Hard-to-Find Far Bar

March 21st, 2012 | No Comments

For the final agenda of February’s Department of Magical Affairs, Amelia decided to collaborate with Mynxii, Amelia Nightmare, Ulroin Vex, and Allan Amato for her upcoming A is for Arsenic collection.

Amy, Kevin, and I met up with everyone after the shoot at Far Bar in Little Tokyo. Far Bar by the way, is extremely hard to find if it’s your first time. It’s literally in an alley!

Amy and I had looked over the drink menu during the afternoon, so we were pretty excited to try the “Asian Zombie”. We’re not quite sure what makes this zombie “Asian”.  If you do head down there though, just know that the drinks are STRONG.

Asian Zombies are blue-green apparently.

Why hello colorful people!

I love meeting up with friends at places because bartenders and waiters always know “where our friends are”.

Visiting Medieval Buena Park & The Defective Geeks Party

March 17th, 2012 | 2 Comments

For some time now, I had talked to Amelia about going down to Buena Park and experiencing the cheesy magic that is ‘Medieval Times’.

Since we’re all fans of over the top theme restaurants, we decided to make this a reality before Amelia went back to London.

Amy, Amelia, Kevin, Val, Alcuin, and Myself headed out to Buena Park; that’s the nearest castle. Lumi, also just returned to LA so we invited her out.

Look at our cool hats.

Tuesday’s Surprise Parcels

March 14th, 2012 | 10 Comments

Oh my, a package from Hong Kong? What could it possibly be?

wait for it….

….

It’s my FREAKING iDOLL Stitch Plushie Iphone case!

Some of you may remember that I posted on facebook about this case about a week ago.
Originally, I considered getting something with like the otter case. However, due to the fact that I continuously lose my phone through out the year, I decided to go for the hugest most obnoxious case I could find.

This is the best iphone case ever. It’s really freaking huge, and I feel like it’s a lot harder to lose my phone now.

Ahh! Help! Stitch is trapped in this box.

Even Mycroft took a liking to the case.

The only downside is that you can’t use the rear camera with this case. You either use the reverse cam, or just take it out of the case. I’m fine with that though.

There is a hole for both headphones/aux and down by his bottom, there’s a hole for the charger. <3

Ring ring! Who’s got the cutest iphone case now? ME.

I was so excited about this package I even made this short and very silly video, featuring my Cats, and their respective “cat voices”.
